Mojo 85

Good Day All!
It's such a busy time with my girls dance show coming up, extra rehersals and all but I did have time to make this card for my daughter's friend's birthday last saturday. She loves horses so this set was an obvious choice. I used Julee's MOJO 85 sketch for inspiration.

I'm happy with the way it turned out. I hope to have more time to create soon so please don't give up on me (; Thanks so much for stopping by!

More Mojo

Hello all!
I just wraped up an awesome visit with my in-laws. They're from B.C. so I don't think they appreciated the cold weather but they survived! I had the opportunity to make a couple of cards with my mother-in-law. I used Julee's MOJO 83 for inspiration for the first one. It doesn't look like it in the picture but I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron.

I stayed with the suqare theme for this next one but used a slightly different layout. I used gold pearl-ex in the border

That's all for now! Thanks for visiting!

A little Mojo and...

Good Friday All!
It was my daughter's 7th birthday just over a week ago so I made her a card. She LOVES Tinkerbell so I had to use this stamp I picked up. I used MOJO 80 for inspiration. She loved it!
I had a bit of free time the other night so I made this card using MOJO82 for inspiration. I did it while watching the Canucks beat St. Louis...as they will again tonight! LOL! I wanted to use colours I never use, especially together and this is what I came up with.

Not my best work but I don't hate it! I'll have to try this sketch again when I get some time.

This next one I made because I finally recieved this stamp set which I LOVE! So simple but the embossed flower adds some interest I think. I'm happy with how this one turned out and will be using this set alot!

That's all I have for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Mojo 78

Goood Friday Morning All!
I finally had time to do a mojo monday sketch! This was my take on MOJO78...hope you like it!

I used the texturz small dots plate on the Not quite navy only my silicone pad is on backorder so I had to improvise and it didn't turn out as crisp as I would have liked. Other than that I like how it turned out! Well, this could be it for a few days as my little brother is coming to visit me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yee-Haw!

Since I live in the country I was thought it was about time I made a western card. It was inspired by the most beautiful cowgirl I know, Risa!

I think it turned out really cute!

Well, I was just taking a quick break from laundry so back at it I go! Thanks for visiting!

Crazy for cupcakes!

Good day!
Okay, I feel like a complete idiot! I told my friend Sarah to look on my blog for the cards I just made because she is crazy for cupcakes! Only I hadn't posted them yet...oops! Sorry Sarah! So, here you go...

I used liquid applique for the icing (with a litle glitter added) and crimped the cupcake holder. So much fun!

This one was for my niece's birthday so it's covered in glitter! I used crystal effects on all of the cherries.
Hope you liked them! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hello again!

Okay, I had time for one more card before I go get my kids from school. I did it for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I forced myself to use different colours (:

Simple but fun! Have an inspired day!

I finally had time for me!

Good day all!
I can't believe it but I got an entire day to myself! I immediately started to create and have decided to share before I create some more. This first one is the one I made today. I just love these colours and this DP!

These next two projects were made for my last workshop. Can you sense the colour theme...

I get to show off my two beauties with this one!

Well i'm off to have some lunch and resume my creating.

Thanks for visiting!

Back from the Dead...(;

I'm so sorry I haven't posted since last August! I guess with going back to school, starting a new job and the regular everyday stuff I haven't found the time. Unfortunately I haven't been creating much either. My friend Cindy invited me to a scrapbooking event at the end of December where I got really sick and had to leave early. I did have time to create two simple cards before I left.

Next are a couple of cards I recieved from my talented friends for Christmas!
This one is from my best friend Cindy. We are both school bus drivers so I thought this was sooooo cute! I just love it...too bad the glitter doesn't really show up in the picture.
This is from my friend Wilda. I love the crystal effects used on the berries. It's simply beautiful!
Well, back to studying for now. Hopefully it won't take so long for me to post in the future. I must say that I still check your blogs and am in awe of the talent out there!

I Won!

Good Friday All!
Much to my surprise, I won some blog candy from Lost & Found Studios! I am so excited as I never win anything! Here's a look at the awesome prize.

Cool huh!?! Thanks to the lovely ladies at Lost & Found Studios! If you haven't been to their site...you have to check it out.

I haven't created a lot lately as I re-enrolled in University (distance ed) to finnish my degree and have been preparing for school to start. I am going through withdrawl though so hopefully I can do some creating soon!

Thanks for visiting!

I did it!

Good Tuesday All!
Well, it wasn't easy but I finnished the remaining 7 AVS sketch challenges! So without further ado here are sketches #4,5,6,8,10,11 &12.

I know this one is loud but the paper was so much fun I had to use it! I kept the sentiment panel quite plain to keep the focus on it. I guess the "pink arrows" don't hurt either! LOL.

I don't know why but I had the hardest time with this sketch. I was actually a little past the deadline for submitting this one so I don't know if it will count but I had to do it anyways! As I kept working on it I really began to like it.
I never use this stamp set but I think it's adorable and I thought this little guy fit perfectly into this sketch.
I don't have a die cut machine so I had to do these scalloped edges by hand. I tried to line up some score lines on the green piece with the striped piece. I really like how this one turned out.
This turned out completely different than it started in my head! Very simple yet I like it.

Could I do any less stamping on a card? Oh well, I love this DP so it was the main focus.

I actually don't love this card very much. It does, however, look better in person as the pink "dots" are actually glitter which really pops the card.

My creative juices have been spent for the day! Hope you enjoyed these! I must return to the not-so-glamorous job of laundry and vacuuming now. Hope you have a great day!

5 down...7 more to go!

Hello All!
Okay, so I got four more AVS sketches done today but I still have seven more to go by about noon tomorrow if I want to get them all done before the deadline! In other words, I need to stop blogging and continue creating! Here's what I came up with for sketches #1,2,3 & 9.

So off I go to do seven more awesome sketch challenges! Hopefully I will have them done in time. See you tomorrow!

Anni-VERVE-sary sketch

Good Friday All!
I so desperately want to do all of Julee's Anni-verve-sary sketches! I have a lot of catching up to do. I have managed to do only one so far so I better get busy. Here is my take on sketch #7.

I can't believe I did a Christmas card when it's 30 degrees outside but it worked! Now I should go out and enjoy this beautiful weather while I can! Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by.

Gone so long!

Wow! It's so good to be back!
I guess I should explain my 3 week absence...it's quite simple actually. I have been visiting my Family on the Sunshine Coast in B.C. and they only have DIAL-UP! I did bring very limited supplies however, and managed to create something for Mojo #47. Unfortunately, I couldn't scan or upload at my Dad's house so I had to wait until I got home. Better late than never, I guess! Again, I had very limited supplies ( 4 colours of paper, two stamp sets, and a few embellies) so it was a real challenge for me. Here is the result...

There's a lot of work to be done now that I'm home but I hope to get to post on a regular basis. Thanks for you patience!

I am happy with the result! Thanks Julee for the inspiring sketch!

Photo album

Good Monday All!
I'm sorry...I must be getting lazy in my old age (LOL..it was my b-day on friday!) as I haven't posted in a while. I had my in-laws here from Vancouver and my Mother-in-law and I made some coaster photo albums. That has been the extent of my crafting lately but here it is...
I had so much fun i've already started on another one!

I made the top section framed photos for this one.

This is the best picture I could get of it opened up. I think it turned out really cute! It was so easy i'm sure there's many more to come! Thanks for visiting today!

SC183

Good Friday All!
So I found this SU DP in my stash and had to break it open! I used the Splitcoast sketch challenge from this week and kept the card simple as I really like this paper. I've had my girlfriend's kids for the past few days and she's coming to pick them up tomorrow...I made this for her so hopefully she doesn't look at my blog before then!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow! I can't believe it's wednesday already! I also can't believe that I haven't posted in over a week...shame on me! I haven't had a lot of free time lately but I did get a chance to do this card for Julee's Mojo Monday...so much fun!
Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by today!

Splitcoast WT172

Good Thursday All!
So i thought i'd try my hand at a splitcoast challenge today. The challenge was to use a bird. I think I have maybe two birds in my very limited supply of stamps so it was a REAL challenge for me! Also, I rarely use my bold brights so I decided to go fresh and fun. This was the end result.
Sorry about the shadows! I couldn't get a clear picture and my scanner creates shadows. Just imagine this very bold and, well, bright!

OCC Challenge

Good Monday All!
After a hard day of housekeeping I decided to sit down and give this week's OCC challenge a try. At least one brad and one button...sounds easy, right? Well I guess my brain is a bit tired as this was the best I could do today. I used Julee's sketch challenge from week #17 as my inspiration. Then I found the cool little button in the center of the flower and there were my colours! Man, I need a die cut machine! Anyways, that's all for now.

Beate's BIC #18

When I saw the inspiration for Beate's BIC this week I had to play! I only wish I could make a cake that beautiful! My card will just have to do. I couldn't get it to show up any darker but you get the idea. I'm going to pop this one in the mail for my Mom as she just had eye surgery. That way she'll have something beautiful to look at when the swelling goes down and she can see again!
That's all for today...thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Monday Wk. 42

Well, it's monday and you know what that means...time to get your Mojo on! I just LOVE Julee's sketches and this was no exception. I had a chance to do this one between loads of laundry and coats of paint. I hadn't used these ladybugs yet so they were my inspiration. As always,it looks so much brighter, and better, in person.

Hope you all have a great day!

OCC Sketch #1

Beate's BIC #17

Good Wednesday All! I love going to Beate's site as she is super talented! I am totally new to this challenge thing but i decided to try her BIC for this week. I wish I had white embossing powder but I ran out so I had to use clear instead. This was what I came up with. doesn't compare to all of you "experts" out there but I had fun playing! Midnight Stampin'

Happy Tuesday!
I did so much blog hopping last night I only got to make one card. I was inspired by a color combo that I saw in a magazine. Not normally colours that I would think to put together but I like it.
That's it for now but I may get a chance to "play" more today!

Mojo Monday Wk. 41

Good Monday All!
I've been working on our bathroom renovations all weekend so ... no creating. But, being Mojo Monday, I sat down tonight and worked on Julee's sketch for this week. (http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/) I never use vellum so I pulled it out and tried to get inspired. I wanted to do something "shillouette" so I stamped the image in Sahara Sand on Barely Banana and then put the vellum over top to give it a softer look. I'm happy with the finnished card. I think i'm going to try to do a few more cards before hitting the sheets...everyone else is in bed already so I have total peace and quiet!

Mojo Monday Week 40

Okay, I know I already did a card for this sketch challenge. I was so intent on using that circle designer paper and the colors on it that I ended up with a card that I thought was...okay. I love this stamp set and it was the one I originally intended to use but it didn't work with the designer paper I had chosen. The last card has been bothering me since I posted it so I decided to make another one. I love this one! However, it looks way better in person as the black and coral are sharper and you can see that the butterflies are popped. I know it's simple but i'm so much happier with this one!
Anyways gotta go babysit my girlfriends kids.
Have a Kreative day!

Mojo Monday Sketch #40

Okay, so i've never done a sketch challenge before so I thought i'd try one. My husband has been home from work for the past two days so it's been all work, no play for me. I did stay up 'till 1 AM doing this one though.
My friend Dee turned me on to Julee'e Mojo Monday (http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com) So here it is. I guess it's okay for my first kick at the can.
I wanted to use this designer paper ( not SU! ): ) so I worked off that. I freehand cut the circles so that they would be "imperfect" like the ones on the paper.
Well I guess I should get to work now...watering my vegetable garden and grouting tile. I also made a bet with Hubby last night...I thought the Penguins would force a game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals...of course I was wrong! So I have to make him peanut butter cookies today.
Off I go!
Have a Kreative day!

Father's day card

Okay, so my husband is a man of simple tastes when it comes to cards. He's not entirely impressed with beautiful card creations. So I decided to go simple and personal. I thought the "Mother's day" stamp from SU! All Holidays was a better choice for this card than the father's day one. I simply used a marker and the stamp-a-ma-jig to fit the "FATHER'S" from the one stamp into the "happy and day" from the mother's day stamp. I love how this turned out and I think he will too!
I've begun the dauntung task of planting a 30x30 vegetable garden...my first one. I think my day will be occupied with dirt and seeds, not cardstock and stamps today! Or maybe it will rain which means the excitement of laundry and more bathroom renos!
Hope you all have a fantastic day...thanks for stopping by!

Paper Crafts Inspiration

So I was going through my new Paper Crafts magazine the other day and was inspired by a digital card. I've been wanting to case it using stamps but haven't had time. Last night I had a dream about it, I know-weird, so I had to create this morning. I made this one first and liked it but didn't love it so...

I made this one instead. Now i'm not sure which one I like better. They didn't turn out exactly as in my dream but I like them both anyways.

Oh well, enough playing, back to the renovations.

Have a Kreative Day!
